| thats with 18mm adapters and no spacers and to be honest i'm well chuffed with how they sit! i've got a few small spacers kicking around so when the centres and lips are finished and tyres mounted i'll be able to get the fronts sitting right without much fuss, the only issue is going to be with the clearance between inner rim and coilover.....its tight. damn tight. | |

| As long as you can get a fag paper between the wheel and the coilover it will be fine | |

| yes.
drill a hole in the centre, undo engine mount, jack engine up, slide puck in, refit with longer bolt. job done.
what would you use instead........
..........end of discussion.

| Are you going to take into account the metals of the coilover and wheel expanding? then rubbing? Form over function with VWs though i guess right? | |

| unless your building an out and out, no compromise, track car then its generally going to be form over function whatever the manufacturer. i very much doubt the wheels and coilovers generate enough heat to worry about expansion, general bodyroll and movement in rubber mounts on the other hand.....now that could be a problem. | |

| today i fitted the engine raising kit - aka the hockey puck..... the idea was to raise the front of the engine and hopefully lift the sump above the lowest part of the subframe and stop it attacking the tarmac. the result was really good, took me about 5 mins to do and cost about £2! happy days! before after before after before after before after before after | |
