i dont really have any plans apart from sorting all the little niggles, like interior rattles and poor paintwork, getting the mechanicals up to scratch and then i'm going to do a bit of engine work and aim for 400NM of torque. its not going to be dickhead low or anything like that, just a fairly quick, fairly comfortable, nice looking car.

X Fighters was awesome, my little brother got me a ticket so we rolled down for the evening, shame about the weather and massive brawl but seeing Andre Villa fly into the crowd and just get straight back up was pretty impressive (youtube it)

Levi Sherwood won and it wasnt much of a surprise as he was flawless all night, the amount of time he holds every trick is amazing. (check out the extreme365 video review)

i was waiting for the hairdresser comment, thankyou for not dissapointing andrew. like i said, it wasnt planned but 225bhp, 4 wheel drive and red leather swayed it for me.

TT looked wicked on the autostrada's fella

cheers matty, i was actually really pleased with it, considering the tyres were completely wrong for the TT and i only used a pair of spacers on the front and the adapters off the golf it sat pretty well. got some positive comments including a bloke saying he didnt know why i was driving it around so low when it was on air.....

your Mk2 was looking tidy too!

So this weekend saw the TT's first ever VAG show, i was undecided whether to do anything to it or just leave it as it was.....

the day before E38X i made sure the car was as tidy as it was going to be ready for a trip to danny's in the morning for a wash and convoy.


i ordered some side repeaters as the old ones were a bit manky and at only a couple of quid off ebay it was silly not to.


i then did something i said i wasnt going to do, i lowered it more. but as it was already maxxed out on the rear i had to be a little drastic, i took out these out completely....


On went the autostrada's which left it looking like this!


the arch to floor height was 24.5" with the 18's on and rear perches in, after i'd adjusted the fronts down and fitted up the 17's it was down to 22" front and rear! i've already got a shallow sump in the studio but havent got the shallow pickup pipe or return line so in a vain attempt at prolonging the life of the original aluminium sump i fitted up a Seat undertray i had in stock.


its 52 miles from my house to Overstone Park, so in total the TT travelled approx 104 miles this weekend. i've just taken the undertray off and had a little look under the car....














i'm so so glad i fitted it, looks like it took a bit of a beating and now has a fist sized hole thru it!

i've put the quattro sport wheels back on and raised it back up now as it was ridiculous to drive but here's a few more pictures from the weekend.

beside the point jonny you know what i said and im sure some other people said it looks the t*ts like that, even though you did scare me a little on the way back down the country roads grounding out flicking pavement everywhere.

haha that undertray did its job, shallow sump on there and it'll be fine to keep it like that just change the subframe bolts after every 200 miles or so lol

RS6 engine swap......if only.

raised it back up after Edition and dropped it back down for Players yesterday, it seems the 100 odd mile round trip to Northampton a few weekends ago managed to smooth off the undertray and subframe enough to stop most of the scraping i was getting which enabled me to have a little play with Tinks and Danny on the way to Northwield. I slowed down a bit after Tinks rang me to tell me that the rear tyres were smoking at 120mph....
