- this is true! will have to drop it when i get time and the weather is good! i like that pic, could you actually fit under the tailer???
not quite, i could just see the bottom of the trailer at the top of the windscreen as i drove under it. if the splitter was touching the floor and the back was down more i could possibly get it under? if it was that close tho i'd just drive it under anyway and scrape the roof! make it fit. its funny that everyone likes the colour when its the one thing i dislike most about the car?! cheers for all the comments again guys, much appreciated!

| gonna start with wobble bolts, see if i need more/less spacing etc to get the best final ET then maybe change the 5x112 adapters to custom made width specific adapters? think its going to take a bit of messing around to get it sitting how i like with the bigger and wider wheels so once i've cleaned the barrels, centres and lips i'll bolt them back together and have a trial fit. | |

| its gonna have to get higher with the 17s and them widths. Yeah johnny custom adaptors sounds good, but your 5x112s will do for now. youll wanna be looking at about et20 on the front with the 9s and about the same for the rears if you can without hitting the beam. what tyres you gone with? | |

a chassis notch and coilover rebuild will keep it as low as possible, its not going to be easy but i have a big hammer. - matty_mk1 wrote:

i'll trial fit them once they're cleaned up and will then get a better idea of what i need to aim for. tyre's are 205/40 for the rear and 195/40 for the fronts, i looked at loads of MK3's on 8.5's and 9.5's and these seem to be the most popular option and best looking. not a fan of 215/35's.

| cheers for the link max, might come in handy once i've worked out the exact spacing i need? the wobble bolts should be with me on monday so i can have a trial fit then and see where they sit at the mo.... barrels are done, centres are next, then lips. | |

| well the driveshaft has already rubbed the paint off the chassis leg so its pretty clear where i would have to hit it...... but to be honest i might as well just get it notched because i dont think a sledgehammer would give me enough clearance for the engine raise and 17's. | |

| True if your getting the engine raised you will need a decent sized chassis notch and to get that kind of swing with a sledgehammer to cause that amount of modified metal you need the car on it's side! Ohhhhhhh i just wound my rear coilovers down in prep for my new rims | |
