i'm going to have a little play with the wings, hence taking them off and hopefully it'll be kind of ok. if not then i'm sure if i turn the steering hard enough the arch will eventually move out of the way.

I think it needs to be lower at the front

Hope you don't ever need to turn in the road or instead of 3 point it's going to be about 11 point! The wheels will look great specailly once you get a chance to get the back tyres seated up.

looks sweet and still sits nicely on the 17's.............you too will be doing 11 point turns like me ..........i have no stonechip paint left on my inner arches and the wings did "give" a little

after i've hacked away at the chassis legs and bottom arms it will be lower.

i've decided turning is for gays, its all about driving as the crow flies. (i'm just going to put my trolley jack in the boot and lift the back up and swing it roung whenever i wanna change direction, i'm leaving for inters tomorrow.....)

haha, got ya! hopefully they'll be on soon enough and you'll get to see them sitting pretty. i'm really pleased with the fitment of the fronts, with a few things sorted and out of the way it should sit at a similar height to when its on the 15" mercs.

soooo.....

one of the tyres on the 17's keeps going flat which is down right sh*t c*nt annoying! so i inflated it to 40psi and listened for leaks.....nothing. i then had to find something big enough to fill with water and submerge the wheel in.

if you've just read that sentence and have been following this thread at all then i'm sure you will know what i did next.

bad news is the beads not sealing properly, good news is the joins and 40 bolts are fine!

need to beak the bead, clean up the rim and try again. oh and the rears still arent inflated.

oh and they wont be unveiled at the meet cos i wont be there either, you going to be at inters? hoping to have them on for that but may be cutting it fine. we'll see, still just over a week to go.

tell me about it, i'm pretty bummed out by it. so close but yet sooo far. i've got a week to sort them and get them fitting right so still time, trouble is i've blown the turbo on the van and have jobs coming out of my ears at the moment so everythings against me.

i ordered 2 more 165/50's for the mercs last night just in case i cant get the 17's to seal in time for inters.

there's still dubgeneration, edition and players so all is not lost.

i was laughing about your comment and just remembered i still have these wheels, 8.5 x 18 front and 9.5 x 18 rear. i've got the adapters and wobble bolts to make them fit too, shame about the chunky rear tyres.
