| i'm not sure what to do with the front lights, might try a smoked style instead of the full on murdered look its rocking at the mo?
i've got 2 other sets of non murdered headlights and a few indicators and fogs kicking about so i'll mock something up and see what it looks like?

merc rims look loads better in the hi silver / chrome effect but are now on the shelf abandoned because i've finally finished bolting the other wheels back together so cant be bothered to order new tyres yet. - matty_mk1 wrote:

i noticed a cheater a tinklers when i popped up there the other day i was talking to my dad about it today and we reckon its done that in about 200 miles..... cheers for the heads up about the cheater, me and Ian are gonna give them a go on tuesday but if we fail then i'll give them a shout. - tinks wrote:

there's something about the sound of your car thats different to normal VR's, its proper savage! wheel spin isnt chavvy, its the sign on true powerz. lol - billybug wrote:

i went to UD last year with brand new tires, came home with bald tires, f**k toe-in. i think i've sorted the toe now but its hard to tell with the standard wheels back on because they tuck so much its hard to campare against the mercs. planning on having a couple of full days on the car setting up the new wheels so will make sure its sorted and correct then.

| ok, so massive shout out to Ian for helping me get the front tyres on and balanced up this morning! i think his reaction when he saw the rears was priceless and sums them up perfectly.... "oh, for f**k sake!" anyways, we didnt have a hope in hell of getting any air into them at all so i need to tap up someone with a bead cheater (tinklers) or someone with some lighter fluid and a match (my dad) that leaves me with 2 fronts done and 2 rears half done, so what would you do? thats right, cheeky trial fit!!! pow! erm a couple of areas need attention to avoid scrubbing. i hate cars where the tyres rub on the bodywork, i think its lazy modifying. according to hellaflush, "offset is everything". i need to enlarge the current chassis notch for the driveshaft and create a notch for the track rods as the car is now sitting on both of those and the bottom arms are tight against the subframe so need to cut the excess metal off both of those as well and remove the anti roll bar as its just in the way. | |
