| Cheers chaps, trying to get a constant flow of progress! Couple lunch times of fab work, oil cooler brackets this time. Will all be sunken into the down piece of the slam panel and sit behind the bumper, a few mods and addition pieces to gain more airflow to the core soon once I have a bumper to mock up with. Step by step pics of each process just to show how it's all made Blanks cut, marked and dot punched Holes cut to size, then corner pieces cut to shape ready to bend First bend done Set up in the folder, set over the end of the bed to allow second bend. If I bent the ends first I wouldn't have been able to use the same folder for each fold, so would end up with different radius' Bent either end Test fit Same process again for the back piece, blanks cut, marked and dot punched, pilot drilled awaiting next size up. All holes drilled upto 6mm then two outter holes to final size of 12mm. 6mm central drill used for centralising the hole cutter on the 4 middle holes. Hole cutter time Bending to allow for the thickness in core to end tank size. Bend 2 Test fit with the end brackets and centre section End brackets didn't slot in as nice as I wanted so modded the cooler ends so the cooler could slot back into the backets and be nicely fixed even before the bolts go in Fits much better More to come over the next couple days guys, cheers for reading | |

| No I didn't dude, I got the caddy one through work which is the same as this on just with out the fancy black fittings. I got this one off g60nik off here he never used it so worked out cheaper. Think automotive are the nuts, give them a ring and they will sort you out | |

| Afraid not, we don't sell them but I would advise maybe calling think auto and see if they could maybe beat it, that is a very very good price indeed! The one I had for the caddy was just over £200 but due to the black anodised push fittings. Did look smart though! | |

| Few from the weekend, thanks to dad and helping hand from Steve got the bottom end built, just need a new oil pump, beef up my sump and get it coated then slap it all on. Few goodies from the post man, arp head stud kit and Passat pd inlet manifold, the golf pd inlet I had didn't fit with the t3 turbo Quick mock up to check clearance with the head resting in place Grinder happy with the slam panel, cut the old piece out and tacked the new bits in, End cap brackets for the oil cooler welded and ground before tacking it all up Most of the pieces in place, still needs tweaking to get maximum clearance for the intercooler and good flow to the oil cooler, the bumper slots over and covers it perfect so mods to the bumper soon | |
