so been busy today, got a set of dishes done for a customer- more bbs motorsport porn. sadly no pics of them in the centres either and dont want to mention names, car will be seen at UD

and had time to refurb the th lines i got which are now forsale- heres the forsale thread for anyone interested or just want to see what ive been upto!
due to spending to much money on the mk2 soon to be daily the wheels sadly have to go! i only got these a month or so ago, i would like to say before we start i didnt buy these to make money or move on i genuinely did want these for my mk2 but by selling these i can finish and use the car on okish wheels.

so basic outline, i got the wheels in ok condition. 8j et25 and 8.5 et15 from memory, black spike bolts (£2 each from memory!) still in very good condition, so i split the wheeels and polished the dishes and ONE centre today, i am a polisher so these are to a high standard, nothing home brew at all! all dishes are ofcorse radinox with no lumps or chunks taken out.

so heres some before and after photos to show what ive done, as above only one centre is polished at the moment!

so onto the centres-they were "polished" when i got them, very pitted and not looked after but looked ok from a distance. so an hour an a half has gone into one centre so far to get where it is. here is some before and afters

so heres the options-

1- wheels come as they are with 4 minty polished dishes, centres ready to be painted or what ever buyer wants, i WILL scotch the polished centre if this option is taken. obviously barrels and bolts included £850

2- polished dishes, and all 4 polished centres, black powder coat barrels ready to be put together, again bolts included. £1050

i am after swaps if people want to upgrade, only after something oem, 15s or skinny 16s and not of huge value.

no silly offers but will listen to genuine sensible offers guys!

Been busy at the weekend, got the intercooler mounted now, radiator bolts to that so a big step forwards, still need to finish the rad but most of the work is done. Pics to come soon.

Got the oil cooler and slam panel pieces welded up, couple more small braces to make and weld before I grind it up, blast and paint it.

And got some 4mm steel for my sump yesterday so made that today ready for welding at the weekend with some other bits to finish, blast and take to the coaters

More of the sump plate, can see the shape better now, and added the piece I cut out to cover the sump plug.


First of the goodies, still loads to come. Stack gauges, nice and original looking with that slight twist or Motorsport feel.

All brackets done just waiting to get it all finish welded, then gong to remake te fan brackets to something a bit more fancy

Not updated in a while, still more pics to come as I didn't take many last week.

So more in the rad, made some nice looking brackets with more go faster holes pleased how it turned out, only have some finished pics. All ready for welding now so just need to wait for stu to have some time to get it all done.

Only held on, it does fit correctly. Honest!


The outter holey section was all bent around this fine tooling and hit with a mallet to form the curves. No cnc benders or fancy rollers :(

Who does your powder coating Joe out of interest and how much was that lot? We use a place in Whittlesey that's pretty decent....

Shall I do a crappy rusty arch update so you can say eh that's bad?

I get it done in sawston, it's only 2 mins Dow the road. Cheap for me as I blast my stuff and get it back in good time, they don't do any sand blasting there so it's even better for me each time I'm more impressed by the finish! Will get my camera out once I fix my laptop, only using my phone at the mo :(

Ah ok thanks, yeah we get them them blasted at the same place for a pretty reasonable price I guess!

What did you get done and how much dude? What's the finish like and turn around time?

If you look im my rusty arched Caddy thread you can see all the bits i had done for £80....

finish is good depending on how much pitting is left from rusty parts. Usually about 1 week...

Thats pretty good dude! I couldn't have done it any cheaper!

Same with a couple of my bits, the arb I had done in black was real rusty so looked pitted after aswel.
