Neither.. they are coming from germany. But theres been hassle along the way with the order. Apparently there are one hundred sets on their way to the uk though, so if im lucky i might end up with one of those sets. If not then money back and ill get different ones Though to be fair its not wossners fault its the apes im dealing with here in the uk thats at fault.

| Just ordered a set of wossner pistons Still on the look out for a G60 flywheel for it though.. Will get a new one from vw if i can't find a second hand one. Will then be taking that over to cambridge rebores and getting it lightend/balanced ect. The parts list is getting slighty shorter.. still a way to go yet mind. When i do eventually get this back up and running im not sure i'm going to be able to sell it.. may have to say good bye to the vr | |

| dont think the g60 flywheel is an option as ure running the quattro gearbox its ok if it was fwd but not 4wd | |

I did see something on another forum about that.. I thought that you just get a bit of a slight rattle on tick over but once driving its fine? Is that not the case? I still have my dual mass if the G60 isnt possible

| i brought the kit from euro car parts vr6 clutch with g60 flywheel when i changed my gearbox the diameter of the clutch plate was too small and the holes didnt line up they were also too small if you want a decent clutch and flywheel setup take a look at http://www.specclutch.com/ | |

| Ah ok mate I was under the impression it was a straight swap for these aswell! Glad you metioned it Ideally would like to uprate the clutch and flywheel but wanted to do it relatively cheaply with using the G60.. Maybe i shall have to stick to the dual mass afterall. Depends on cost really. | |

| Unless the clutch kit is for the quattro 4 motion or r32 box it ain't going to fit And the diesel quattro clutch from the a3 is the same as the a3 qts s3 tt also | |

| I know this is very pikey of me, but i may have a look at seeing if its possible to weld up the dual mass flywheel Would get it re-balanced ect before fitting. Im pretty sure its on its last legs anyway so not too much to lose by trying.. ah well will see a bit later on today | |

| Engine building will start very soon now Shiney new pistons arrived this morning, along with a set of new shell bearings for the conrods and new main bearings too. Have got all the main engine parts i need now, is just a few little things like sensors ect that got broken when i removed the engine. Shall worry about those later on. I will maybe take photos of the engine going back together if anyones interested in it for future reference.. though im no expert, this is the first engine ive ever built | |
