oop, got this in the post today - new genuine merc rack for the summer.

oh.my.dayz that's lush!

not sure whats going to happen to the car though to be honest as it's going in to have the wings fixed (rotten like a bad man) and there's been all kinds of words being thrown about my office like "trade-in" and "range rover"...

I got pretty pissed at constantly having to check how i drove this thing, and it seemed pointless owning a luxury 4/5 seater if you can only take one other person in the car with me so i took the 20's off and put them back on the SL500 and replaced them with some genuine AMG Turbines from an SL55 - 18x8.5 and 18x9.5.

I'll probably change them later on, but im happy with them for now. Car is going in to have the front sorted (wings repaired, bumper sorted) and then after that it's AMG or Brabus suspension to get it a little bit lower.

Sits much better on the 18's Jim.
I'd say snap up some 19" AMG's with a nice bit of dish on the rear and you'll be laughing.

i agree with stamps the 20" were just too big

@stamps - im looking at a few sets of 19's bit i kind of think i might settle for 18's and drop the car a little bit - there's plenty of nice sets of AMG wheels out there in 18 and not so many 19's that would suit the car.

Looks like im not going to be spending any money anytime soon on this car as I am officially saving up to replace the 2 front wings and get them sprayed and the bumper...

Picked up 2 "ok" wings at the weekend and have given them to Jay to sort out for me, i also ordered the my paint today so hopefully it should be looking a lot better in the next few weeks!

speeding ticket in the post yesterday, flat front tyre today... who knows what will happen to this car tomorrow, hopefully it will blow up while im in bed and i can buy something else...

haha, i cant really blame the car on the speeding ticket, ive tried to wangle it into my expenses though, see how that goes...

in all honesty i love the car, it's a beast, but it does have it's moments and timing, im meant to be shelling out for a holiday this week but so far ive spent over £400 on car stuff, oh well.

Ive been rinsing my mums cooper s convertible recently, and theres something about a tiny little rocket like that spinning in 2nd that makes me think about smaller cars, been looking at 130i M sport BMW's today, shi*t those things are awesome for what they are! Might go play with one after my morning at Porsche on Saturday.

after seeing a few bim bimmers like stampers' i am rather tempted by one, doesnt help there is an r32 for sale down the road either the golf rubbing down begins next week

Besides the M-Sport Coupe/vert, the 1 series are gash if you ask me.
Once you get the wings back on the Merc and get the wheels sorted you'll think twice. I guarantee it!

i wouldn't get the coupe or the vert, it would be the 3 door hatch, but lets be honest, i can't deal with these small girly hatchbacks for more than 2 days at a time and i do tonnes of motorway driving now so i need my big sofa car!

they're absolutely rude boi those things, love them but they're too old for me, i couldn't go backwards on age, which is why if i was to go piller-less coup, it would have to be a CL500 2000 - 2004, so big, so smooth, so good.

ordered new tyres to be fitted tomorrow, hopefully giving Jay the paint tonight so everything is back on track, happy days!
