| well when my car is cold it wont tick over unless that switch is depressed and until it starts to get warm it wont rev freely. once warm everything is fine. but it's still an ass, cos i can get in the car in the morning and just drive off. anyhelp is appreciated! just wanna know what the microswicth does it only gets depressed when the throttle is fully closed! | |

| should get pressed in when the throttle is closed, tells the ecu to go into closed loop idle control and brings the idle control valve into play.
On 8vs there is a Wide Open Throttle switch too for fully open throttle obviously i cant remember if valvers have them. | |

| Yes is the short answer, the 8v has full throttle switch and 16v the closed throttle switch. | |
