1.6 polo throttle delay

some days it does this and others it dosn't seems to be completely random
i put my foot down and usually its pretty responsive but when this happens it basically does nothing for 2-3 secs works its way through it and then kicks in as if it had a turbo.
Its in every gear when it happens but it usually kicks in when it gets to about 2750 -3000 rpm in 2nd, and then progressivly higher as you go through the gears
my bro said he had a similar problem on his 16v gti mk3 and that was a relay, but that is an injection, i don't know if mine is carb or injection??

i replaced the distributer car and rotary arm and cleaned the throttle body and put in a new air filter to see if this stopped it, it didnt. it had new spark plugs last year so i dont think its them but i got some to go in anyway

yours will be injection, have you changed the fuel filter lately?

nice one, nah i only just got it last week so dunno, il try that at the weekend then its cheep enough anyway
