| its the engine management where you get most of the gains rather than just the fact of having individual bodies. i say go for it | |

| do it mate, steve (caddymans) old mk2 was on bodies sounded lush and you can pick a set of early r6 carbs dirt cheap, beware of the real early ones the mikuni carbs suffered really badly from carb freezing. | |

| R6 carbs can be a pain to fit as thet have vacuum operated sliders which are an arse to set up. If it were me I'd put it on throttle joties and bin the Ecu and use an emerald but then why go to all that trouble with an eight valve when a sixteen valve actually has the cross flow proerties you should be looking for alternatively get a crossflow head. I doubt if the r6 carbs would ice as they don't on the bike and they have the sliders to assist airflow properties, you just have to get them as close to the head as you can. I should think 39 mm itbs will be more than enough for an 8v cos if you had 40 dcoe's they would be choked to 37mm ish anyways plus 45s would drown it unless you were reving it up to around 10k. | |
