- Rota Grids?
You do know that Rota have made money out of ripping other brands off? Rota Grids were originally based on Volk TE37. You might as well get some of those Inovit 6 spokes instead. Cheaper and still based on Volk TE37. Plus since Stanton had them on his MK4 they've been done to death.
Rota Grids = eBay Fake Splits. Volk TE37 = BBS RS. Thats how they stack up anyways.
I say Audi OEM. Fat fives are perfect. Worth more as are made by reputable manufacturers (Ronal/BBS). And as they're from the VAG family, they suit the style much better.
OEM PLUS[H]. Did you not used to have LMreps stamps bit hypocritical is it not? plus te37s look different to grids and its easily noticable which is which imo

Not going to lie dude, I couldn't care less if Rota "ripped off" another brand, that's just business.
I couldn't even start to count the amount of people that have ripped off BBS wheels over the years, does that mean I'm going to splash out 2k+ for genuine LM's? Hells no! I'll take the £500 reps any day of the week.
This is not a personal dig at you in any way I'm just saying I'm going to buy the £600 Rotas over the £2,500+ Volk TE37's. Oh yeah, I totally understand about Volk's prices. Insane. But I COULD justify paying 1K-2k for wheels that are superlight if I was using them in the right aspect (drifting/racing etc). Yet Rota's are usually around £700+. Overpriced replica drift wheels that weigh as much as a monoblock? Doesnt make sense to me. Plus I like Fat Fives too much - matty_mk1 wrote:

Although they didnt have a brand. But I didnt pay anywhere near the stupid amount that Rota charge. And the companies who makes LM reps isn't really known. It's not like they're making a name for themselves in the wheel scene by copying styles, yet thats what Rota do, whilst ripping off the general consumer. I know they're popular and all, but it's still a Replica. Doesnt mean I dont like the style (I think they look really nice) I just think that for the cost you can get much better OEM wheels and a refurb for the same price which will make your car more individual than a bog standard set of Rota's. And whats wrong with a set of steelies for winter? (The words Matty and bentley's dont count...) Overall its just my opinion. And I think a nice set of Audi Fat Fives refurbed in Mercedes Bright Silver would look f***ing sweet on Lupton's Golf.

| I think you should get a set of steels for winter and not pay out loads on fat fives or anything "nice" looking. Then you can spend the money on getting a bigger turbo | |
