| Cool, i look forward to seeing it, you keepin them tyres you already have? its not a trick, its just stiffening the chassis everywhere else to compensate for the lack of ARB. | |

| Subject: My Mk4 20vt GTI *Small Update* Sun May 17 2009, 01:16 | |
| well today either side of work i got a few bit done on the car rubbed all the bumpers down and started getting the primer down, had a clean up of the engine bay and my few new bits arrived from the veedubya dealers so neatened the bay up nicely, also have started to slowly polish up the inlet manifold. does anyone know about the hard plastic battery covers that are available instead of the cloth ones that are factory fitted? hopefully the weekend coming i will trailer it up to my friends garage to be change the cambelt and water pump and paint the trailing arms have a good service etc. should be running prime then. Ill get the pics up tomorrow as i have work at 10! lol | |

| I have the hard battery cover fitted on mine. It consists of about 4 parts in total. You have the cover but then under it you need the support frame and possibly the fuse holder and holder for that aswell. Best to see if you can get one from a breakers | |

| Sorry about the grubby finger prints on it! I can try to find out what parts you would need to fit the battery tray in work if you want. They come in two sizes as well the diesel models had a bigger battery cover | |
