I just bought a cheap(£100) sip 90amp mig welder off ebay to test the water and then the most important thing an auto darkening helmet. ... Want to upgrade the welder at some point later in the year, but has been a good starting base.. | |

| Looking very nice indeed. Just a quick question. I understand how the rad will work while the bus is moving, airflow etc, but what about when stationary? Are you fitting fans on the reverse side? | |

| Hi, yes ive got a nice big 3l carlton fan that's got to be mounted yet..it's a 'pusher' rather than a 'puller' so i can mount it on top of the rad for more ground clearance.. Been backwards and forwards on this for a while..... "Bag 'o' loom"....... this is what ive already discarded Saturday night at the table...... And how it looks so far Whether or not it's right is a different matter ..................... | |

| Was hoping the ebay win workshop manual cd would turn up so i could verify where certain pipes and hoses go.....but nothing..... This week i realised i'd done a major boo boo where ive mounted the turbo the oil return off it sits lower than the original return on the block, so i had two options.... 1/ raise the turbo, which would mean cutting and adding bits to the manifold and the exhaust ( which i really couldn't be bothered to do) or 2/ add a return straight into the sump..... so turned my attention to the sump, got to thinking if sump sits three inches off the ground when the van is empty then what's it going to be like when its loaded.......... So today's effort........ standard After surgery Still got some work to do ( like add the return which i forgot about ) cut down the oil catch, then line it with the same stuff i did the fuel tank with... Im going to do away with the water cooler for the oil filter and run a sandwich plate and 72 row oil cooler which should then add back some of the oil that im going to have lost by cutting the sump down .... Oh also accepted the fact that it's not going to be ready for the holiday ...and if it was, a 3000 mile round trip with three babies and a highly strung misses isnt the best idea for the initial test ...... | |

| Havn't done much over the last two weekends.. Added return and used the petrol tank liner stuff to seal up .. The cd turned up and wasn't much help , so spent the last two weeks trawling the net and joining up on subaru forums....... Finally got the info i needed and mounted the solinoids and valves up....... oh and the pump for the chargecooler Need to order up new vacuum hoses ,oil feed , intake and chagecooler pipework .....So it was back to the wiring | |
