| hi folks. i have a mk 1 golf. i have fitted a mk 2 rear beam running disk brakes.. i am unable to get a good pedal when bleeding.. i get a good firmness but it still goes to the floor.. and as soon as i run the engine i loose any pressure i once had? please help.. thankyou | |

| you might be losing that pressure when the engine is running due to the servo helping,
i have an easybleed thing in my car that helps no end with bleeding the brakes, you're welcome to borrow it | |

| Have you clamped up all the hoses to see what its like then? If you clamp up all the brake hoses on each wheel and then try the pedal and its fine then you just need to release one clamp at a time untill you find the brake thats causing the pedal to sink.
Or if the pedal is still exactly the same then its either air further up in the system or the servo at fault. | |

| hi bpeeps.. thanks v much for all your help and sugestions.. but i have now cured the fault. belive it or not, call me a dick but my granddad fitted the rear callipers and put them on upside down.. this for some reason wouldnt allow me to bleed them.. cheers anyway | |
