just started to do my brake pads on the jetta, drivers side done all ok. but cant get the allen keys on the passenger side caliper un done. top one has come un done but lower one is thight as! i just keep slipping of it.

What normally happens the cap has been left off so its rusted.

You need a long hex that you drive with a socket and bang it in with a hammer then get a knuckle bar on it, if this rings off then you need a long reach torx or triple square and hammer this home, this'll more than likely get it and you have to replace the bolt.

Top tip........... grease the bolt heads and put the plug caps (bungs) back on.

nice one mate, i have give up on it for today. back on it tomorrow. there was no caps on them lol. but then the brakes were done at kwik fit before i owned it lol.

i got up and had a go at it. think i need to go buy some proper tools..... i just snapped my alen drive socket. i may just take it to the local garage to get it done lol
