has anybody had this problem.managed to snap handle and both cables have came off and one side is still on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!frozen on handbrake 496877 only had it a week

the rear drums reguarly bind, which is one of the reasons people do rear disc conversions,

as you pull away, the tyres should grip, and the brakes should become unseised

my mk4 hsa been doin this half a mile of it sticking tug handbrake a few times then hey presto it stops every time done this since we first got the snow and that works for me

his cables are broken so he won't be able to tug on it. I'd suggest hitting the drum with a hammer till they ping free. if you can see the drum through the wheel then you won't need to take the wheel off, just find a long piece of metal and poke it through the wheel then hit that. it'll need to be a good sturdy piece though to transfer the knock well.

cheers for the help cables wernt snapped they had just both came of the handle end as soon as i got off the ice it freed upfrozen on handbrake Icon_biggrin
