Thought I would update a lil more.

Above vid from Lee is from our trip to Peter balwins rolling road again for a tune up before doing the 2k journey to Worthersee - 205bhp this time scratch Cool

Before this I was still having a problem with oil dripping onto the clutch from the 2y box! FUN, had to pull gearbox again and fitting all new seals this time from VAG as it would appear the GSF one was Shite like most of their parts....

MK1 1.1 > 2l 16v bike carb'd - Page 3 DSC00407Medium
MK1 1.1 > 2l 16v bike carb'd - Page 3 DSC00408Medium

All sorted now and clutch seems excited fine...

Also decided to clean carbs as Lee had just done his and thought it would be a good idea after the overfueling problems I had when running solid top mounts hissy fit - I did it first time with just a can of carb cleaner but must have got some dirt in there somehow as they ran like s**t after Evil or Very Mad Decided to do again and stripped EVERYTHING off and took them to my work to blow through with air hose. Put them back together and they are all good now. Added some new hoses too as others started to perish.

MK1 1.1 > 2l 16v bike carb'd - Page 3 DSC00394Medium
MK1 1.1 > 2l 16v bike carb'd - Page 3 DSC00396Medium

We then went to Balwins for tune up as I also put on a new Dizzy so timing needed sorting...

MK1 1.1 > 2l 16v bike carb'd - Page 3 DSC00415
MK1 1.1 > 2l 16v bike carb'd - Page 3 DSC00417

I then decided to pull my finger out and sort the rear which I had been meaning to do for ages althought is still work in progress when the NOS is installed over next couple of months....

Finally, I did a full service on her and robbed these little beauties off my old G60 to help on the track...

Looks so sweet Smile just out of curiosity, what pressure do you run your fuel at to run the carbs? I've got the same carbs on mine and I'm looking to run the engine up this weekend and could do with a rough guide to what pressure to set it up at. Any help would be cool Smile

Hi and thanks

Run them at 3psi... Book yourself a rolling road to get them setup right in terms of main jet size and timing. Mixture wise, unscrew all around 3-4 turns but again you will need rolling road/gas analyser to do correctly. Good luck and enjoy Thumbs up

Wakey wakey....

Gave the neighbours a rude awakening yesterday after a quick oil and filter change! Rattled a few things off my shelves too Thumbs up

So she's running again but I have had to roll the arch's to clear the balloon tyres! Managed to dent one rear - Mark HELP!!!! but others are OK although shes guna need paint at the end of summer I think.

Also, new brakes alround - waiting on rear shoes and cylinders before I bleed through with new wilwood fluid...
