Golf mk1 steering wheel will fit or if you want an aftermarket wheel then you need a boss to fit the MK1 and the wheel.

If you get a smaller steering wheel it will make parking harder,

I personally like the Polo G40 3 spoke steering wheel as found on the caddy sport.

For wing mirrors look out for some internally adjustable MK1 Golf mirrors, for easy fit.
