mk3 golf gti wont start!!!

my golf is stuck and the starter motor wont engage, what could it be?

quick if you can as i need to get the car home!!

Try putting it in second gear push it back and forth with the handbrake off and it should make the solonoid drop back into place and the motor should catch.

If that doesn't work clout the solonoid with a hammer then try, or bump start it !

yea the 2nd gear trick worked, got it home and cleaned up the motor, was a dodgey earth to the gearbox

See the old trciks still work.
Your solonoid had stuck, it was probably just the cold making it stick a dirty earth would cause it too.
