| you probably got the timing wrong then lol. Bet you didnt line the intermediate shaft up that drives the dizzy? | |

| easy way to check is to line the timing marks up and pull the dizzy cap off and see if the rotor is lining up with the mark in the dizzy case (lines up with expansion bottle(sort of))
If it doesnt then then you got the aux shaft lined up incorrectly.

| Cheers mate yeah am I right in thinking that when the timing mark is lined up with the top of the head the rotor arm should point at number 1 ? If I rotate the aux shaft on its own will I damage anything ? Setting timing is not my strong point if you had not guessed lol | |

| you wont be able to move it on its own, you will have to loosen the tesioner off the belt.
There is a very smal mark on the lip of the dizzy it normally point in the direction of the expansion bottle, it indicates where the middle of the rotor arm should be and cylinder 1 | |
