| Got some brakes! theyre off an audi s2, and are pretty massive. theyre twice the size of the old mk2 256s i was using! wire brushed all the s**t off them and resprayed them all i need to do now is make some adapters to make them fit, and get some new g60 discs as the ones i have now need replacing. ive only got road pads atm so ill get some decent pads too. Im going to brands hatch later! havent been for about a month, im getting withdrawal symptoms.... | |

yuhuh! anyway i went to brands hatch yesterday. got a new personal best! my previous best time was a 61 second lap, which is pretty good anyway. so im pretty happy with that! rebuilt the brakes, im waiting on pads and some new slider seals which cost £11! this is one compared with a mk2 256mm caliper and started mounting the reservoirs properly

yea, i used to race karts, and then mx5s. ive had a go in caterhams too, but nothing big scale. 58 seconds is pretty good, but a professional racing driver would take 8 or 9 seconds off that...

oh it was in a single seat 'formula audi' but not a proper one, just one you can hire sort of like this in terms of shape, but with s**t tyres and no where near as quick

That's pretty awesome, so can anyone just turn up and rent one of those things, or do you have an MSA licence? Oh, the golf is awesome, by the way

| tried to fit the new brakes, but couldnt get the old brackets off the hubs, after f*****g around for hours trying to drill the bolts out with a hand drill i decieded to take the hubs off which was a b***h in itself. still cant get the f*****g brackets off, so i tried drilling the bolts out on the pillar drill. STILL cant get it off, so ive given it to mate to machine off. decieded i may as well drop them in shotblaster and refurb them while there off. also ordered new balljoints, rod ends, wishbones and wheel bearings along with some other bobs and bits so my cars looking pretty sorry for itself | |
