| This is my mk1 I havent made a build thread yet, but i bought it pretty much stock, other than some coilovers and some shitty wheels and other bits and bobs. I immediatly built up some BBS rms and put them on this is it at the September meet i had a day off work today, so i thought i would use it wisely the car had a mk2 dash fitted, i took that out and was faced with this; cut a load of it out, as it was all rubbish. I dont know what mug put the dash in, but i wouldnt employ him. Tidied it up so it looked like this then put the new one in. This is all i have atm, so i need the rest of the trim if anyone has it? im keeping the mk2 clocks though, but i may print a white face for them. i dont know what i am going to do with the switches, i could keep them, or swap them for mk1 ones. I also wired some switches in for fan, fuel pump, and interior light. then the postman came, who brought me some goodies. Dizzy arm, rotor cap, leads and a coil. the coil was black and silver in the photo and came in yellow and blue! so i sanded the coil down to bare metal which looks much better, then fitted them all. Along with these came new indicator lenses, so i put them on which look sick compared to the orange ones. also fitted a duckbill spoiler which mk1g60phil gave to me ;-) I think it looks sick. I am also thinking about taking the red trim off the grill (even though i only just refurbed it!) Took the alternater off, took it apart, wire brushed the f**k out of it, painted some bits then put it back together before and after pleased with my work, i thought i would refurb the bracket too, so i took it off and realized how unnessacarily heavy it was, so i gave it to my mate to turn down on a mill and now its dark and im cold ;-(

| came home early today to find myself with this spal fan, cost £28 off ebay, about £90 rrp! bargain. so i pulled the old one off and popped it on, the thermostat has never worked so its just on a switch with a water temp gauge. looks so much better. the flow is ridiculous, much better than the £30 ones off ebay which i had on my old car. the fan is silent in operation, but pulls so much air that it is infact loud as f**k! old massive which one came off Fitted the new coil, and took the misbehaving old on off Did a bit more work on the dash tidying wires then my mate came round and gave me this which was supposedly fucked and beyond repair, popped it apart, and it had no grease, and the seals were perished. went down to a place in royston, who managed to find some replacement seals and spring cleaned it, greased it and rebuilt it Dont have any use for it atm though, but i may do in the future and i leave you with this

| got a shift light the other day, so i wired it in. its a bit annoying to set up, but the wirings not too bad Wired it up and mounted it ive got a rev limiter and launch control on order, so i made a harness so i can just pop those in without having to cut anything when they arrive put more of the interior back together. im still missing some trim, so once i get it i will cut some carbon pannels to mount the gauges and switches Also fixed the tail lights which were being a b***h before! still need to fix one of the sidelights which is tempermental

| woke up early again, fabbed up a bracket for an oil old cooler that i had lying around and fitted it im going to cut the inside off the grille to allow for more airflow to it its pretty old as it came on my old car, but its mocal and its not like it could break over time took the wiperblades off and cut off the little 'spoiler' though i may aswell refurb those too, but i only had hammerite rust paint so they may not turn out that well also here is a pic of my homemade exhaust for those who havent seen it. did it about a month ago Now i have to go to work for 2 ;-( | |
