right had a little play today, got some 20mm spacers off lupton and wound the coilies right down on the back, its got a slight bit of poke and stampers will agree the stance was perfect (will get pics soon).

however it scrapes all the time and is p!ssing me off lol, as its my daily and i use it everyday on the sh!tty crap roads its got to go higher (only the rear) Sad hopefully only 1 thread on the coilies (only had 3 before), if not the spacers may need to go and go for abit of tuck again.

oh and i didnt realise how the the plastic sump cover was till stamps pointed it out today been hitting speedbumps quite hard scratch so gonna slow up, its been 9months since my last lowered car lol

PostSubject: Re: Project Black Magic   Project Black Magic - Page 2 EmptySun Oct 04 2009, 20:49

what a fun day.....

Had a play 2day raised the back up and still scrubs!
Beginning 2 think its the 10mm poke from the spacers.now i personnally think it doesnt look as good higher but i dont want to ruin my tires and arches as it my daily.how much would i cost to get the arches flared?if not ill have 2 get rid of the spacers and get smaller 1s.
Any help or advice muchly appreciated.
Cheers liam

PostSubject: Re: Project Black Magic   Project Black Magic - Page 2 EmptyMon Oct 05 2009, 20:49

took the spacers out this evening and all seems well so far, i think the tyre was running on the inner arch as theres an area where the bumper meets the rear quarter and it sticks down (not a very good description but i'll try and get pics).

unfortunatly i forgot to get pics on the spacers Project Black Magic - Page 2 Icon_scratch but as i love changing wheels i might take them off and slam it just to get a pic for you guys!

now however it does'nt look as good imo as its tucked again, but i should be able to go all the way down on the coilies!

anyhow, anyone no how much difference between left and right rear ride heights is acceptable?mines currently around 4mm, have a feeling i'll be adjusting it for the forth time tomorrow.

bit of an update although no pics,
car is in winter mode (standard wheels on) lol
its still set for the 17's but if it goes much lower i will have general probs driving around here with out ruining it and at how much it cost me i dont want to do that!

my plans for next year are clearer in my head, i have a general gist of what i want to do to it and how far i want to take it,

the comps will be back on,
i have an idea im currently trying, i wont say what it is but its circa the wheels,
stage 2 custom map at jabbasport
possibly new clutch to handle the power (thinking sachs atm)
LCR front splitter
312mm brake up grade (VAG - TT etc)
backs are coming all the way down, adjusters left in
and fronts down alittle to match the back
20mm hubcentrics in the rear
and 15mm in the front
i was thinking miltek rear box but think im going to leave it standard
green cotton filter and pd160 intake trumpet.

tbh the remap, brake upgrade and clutch are going to kill me financially especially as i have a cambelt, holidays and god knows what else to pay for so they may not be done untill late next year,

basically i love the car, cant really fault it and i want to keep it for another 2 years, but i dont want to get bored of it, (my current car to time owned ratio works out to be 9months!)

anyway, any ideas on what else i could do next year?

Liam
