remember you gonna need a proper gasket between the carbs and your manifold m8. well uve gotta up your game aint yah so the bonnet is the main focus point now, never seen it done before so im sure it will get a good responce oh yeh cheers for that i had forgot all about it! got a fair bit done today, was sick of looking at the front valance and it bing the only part of the bay that was still a tad rusty. so i ground it all back to bare metal with a paint removal disk, then deleted the towing eye as i wont be needing it! all etch primed and first skim ove the low spots. will upload a couple of pictures later on | |

| heres the pass side of the engine bay. done a quick guid coat to see how far it was off, was quite supprised there was only a pin holes and a couple of bigger dips. all filled again now ready for anoter sanding and guid coat :thumbs_up also got the clutch area sanded, trying to get it look like it hasnt been replced as the orignal cracked and split! only a couple of low spots and pin holes to go also continued with cleaning te front valance up, lots of griding to get rid of the rust and old paint, in 2 minds if to put a new fresh one on to save time. at least then everything will be pretty much straight! ghetto style long sander as i dont have a propper one all comments welcome guys | |

| dude..... what you gonna do in say the unlikely event that you broke down on the way to a show and you needed to get onto a flat bed or be towed or something? Thought you would have kept the front one cause you cant really see it... or done a new style screw in one or something? | |

| cheers guys, im not planning on bracking down tbh lol, but if it does it wont be able to be towed with an a frame as it will be too low, it wont be able to get on the back of a lorry as it will be too low, so it will have to go on a flat bed roll on roll off jobby, so it wont need pulling up on it anyway so i dont think it really makes a difference. having a hole new front end put on soon as i cant get underneath and in the tiny places on this one to clean the surface rust out, and it will make it easyer to clean around the battery tray area and the oppersite side too cheers for all the positive comments guys | |

| tbh mate there is no way ever i would consider not fitting a tow eye even on a show car... its inevitable you will need need towing or something at some point. I would have thought the early ones lee means actually go to the bumper mounting bolts and just come out under the bumper like the later ones do instead of being attached to the panel. | |
