Just started having this problem with my leon 1.8 20vt when im in 5th or 6th gear and im givein it some it just looses power for a second until i let of the gas and floor it again could it be the fly by wire has a connection problem any one had this happen scratch

Get it plugged in bud, maybe a dodgy maf sensor, has it been mapped?

theres no engine fault sign and no its not mapped but will be in the near future ill look into the sensor tough dude.

You need to plug it in.

You need to look at the maf readings at what they are and what they should be.
If you have vagcom I can talk you through it or bring it to me and I;pll read it for you.

Maf's dont throw a light unless they get unplugged when they flash a light until its plugged in.
If is glitching its more likely to be the throttle pot on the pedal spiking, to check this you need to find an avo meter (needle) and connect it and sweep the pedal and you'll see the needle move slowly then jump or glitch, if it is this then its the pedal pot = renew it. (arse of a job)

I have seen this very missing a beat issue before but it was a vaccum leak, another time it was a pladtic pipe breaking down and colapsing.

only place to start is plug it in.
