| what engine is the 50mm inlet manifold from? 2L? i have a 1.8 16v, would this come with the 40ishmm inlet or the 50mm? does putting the larger inlet on make a difference? | |

| so why does the larger engine have a smaller inlet? i thought it was the other way round , maybe i was wrong then? so what does putting a smaller inlet onto a 1.8 do? i thought people upgraded by putting the 50mm on | |

| 40mm = more low end grunt(torque)
50mm = More high end power(bhp)
Im pretty sure they varied from different years not engine sizes so i was told.

if you can that would be great! ive got an inlet in my garage that looks like every other inlet ive ever owned but when i measure the bore with a tape measure it reads 50mm. is that the way to measure it? it doesnt look fat or thin it just looks normal to me

| i cant find the friggen picture but apparently the 50mm inlets come on 89 valvers onwards and the ones that "flare out" are the 42mm and the straight ones are 50mm.. I think it means where the plugs are.. i dunno? Anyway i'll keep digging mate. | |

| ah no i got it the wrong way round.. flared = 50mm to fit plugs in straight pipe = 42mm. 50mm on the left - 42mm on the right | |
