| hi, i have a mk2 jetta 1.6, it has had a new clutch and cable but still slips now and again. i have replace main seal so would hope thats not leaking. any ideas. pedels really high too. | |

| try adjusting the cable, if its a manual adjusting cable, its a couple of nuts on the cable just above where it attaches the arm on the gearbox | |

| no its a self adjusting cable. well at least i think it is. it has the boot type rubber on the cable.. | |

| it does have a self adjusting cable. now it only slips now and again. in hight gear at low revs put throttle down a bit and she will slip. like i say now and again. or if i change from 1st to 2nd hard it will slip in 2nd then be fine. im confused. dont really and to have gearbox out to find out its not the clutch and just a cable issue | |
