| Right.. since my mk1 got smashed up, and i didnt want to repair it as it would never be the same again.. so i decided to look for another Dub.. After Trauling E38, here, Pistonheads, etc, i found this.. heres photos of the ad and when i got it home.. Ive been having a play, and changed the wheels, Lowered it some more, added some camber to the rear (a MUST), gave the wheels a fresh coat of paint today, and got a 280mm steering wheel in the post. Comments are always welcome Future plans.. Coilovers are much needed (although it is scraping LOADS as it is due to the 13s), sump guard, and a general Tidy up including a blow over to freshen up the paint. Jonny | |

| Right time for a big update.. Since i last posted on this theres been a few changes.. Bought myself some FK coilovers, took the helpers out and fitted those.. was a tad too low on the 13s though, especially with the camber i had.. That camber on the rear was changed when i got through new tyres in 10days.. So i raised the back a touch to get it sitting better.. I then changed the number plates for some pressed metal ones, and i tinted the headlights.. before After | |

| a couple of weeks ago i swapped my 13s for some 15x8 schmidt modernlines that were in desperate need of some paint. so for a laugh i painted them some bright colours (will be going silver at some point) Ive also fitted a mongoose stainless exhaust from a mk2 gti (obviously required some modification to fit the Jetta). im not happy with the size of the backbox though, so ill sort that before i upload some pics. ive also fitted a K&N More updates to come Jonny | |

| that wasnt the camber that kiled your tyres mate it was the mass of toe in, you can see it in the pics. You can run LOADS of camber and tyres will still last ages you just need the toe set correctly. Bet it drove crap with all that toe in too. | |

| Yeah, did drive like crap! haha. much better now though! Right, this afternoon i made myself a new backbox as i really wasnt happy with my mongoose backbox that came with the stainless system. Heres a pic of the mongoose backbox.. So i got an old powerflow backbox i had laying about, welded the correct mk2 connecting on to join to the centre box, and set about making a nice tip for it. Heres how it went, ended up with a subtle slightly upswept tip. i admit, the welds dont look pretty, but its not easy welding stainless pipe to a mild steel box! Jonny | |
