| bilstein pss9's are the t*ts in my opinion but ruddy expensive, i'm running weitecs and they are pretty good, kw's, personally think you need rebound adjustment to make them a better track setup.. | |

yeah, i just cant really justify £1500 on pss9s tho... although it is tempting! lol - matty_mk1 wrote:

cool. the konis appeal to me because of the adjustability, but if the others are good enough without it... would be nice if i could try them out for a week or so before buying them! lol

| H&Rs are pretty much renound for their ride comfort even when low, thats why ive gone for them.
im pretty sure you will not be disappointed with konis, they are also very good setup, the thing with adjustables is youve gotta know how to set them up to get the best out of them, but trial and error will get you there.

| well after spending hours reading every bit of info i could find, and not just on polos, about different coilover options, ive just ordered a set of bilsteins. decided adjustibility was probably just something i liked the sound of rather than something i needed! cant wait for them to turn up now! | |

| Good man, exactly my sentiments about adjustablity. i think the big companies can set them up slightly better than the avarage enthusiast | |

| In my opinion (which isnt worth much) you cant go wrong with koni's but you get a huge price tag with them (nearly a grand) but just as good are the leda struts which have eibach springs fitted as standard and you can have them valved for bound and rebound and come in around six hundred'ish. They are worth every penny. Avo's again a very good damper as are the H&R but all come with a hefty price tag If you want coilies to dump it in the weeds. then none of these are for you. If I had a bottomless pit for a bank account I'd get penske to make me some but as they come in about a grand a corner they can shove it ! I've got konis for my mk2 vr conversion. | |

| As for protecting them wipe a smear of grease over them and wipe them down everytime you have the wheel off, keep the jet wash and chemicals away from 'em too. | |

| See I can only tell you about what I know, The single adjustment ledas come in at a little over £500 for the mk1 and you just wont beat them at the money they have full on race pedigree and can be rebuilt locally when they wear out. They are not far away in Essex and even offer a full set up and coner weight service. They will drop 65mm and still retain a decent ride. If you want to go lower then i suggest fk konigsports but they are more money again. Look at the leda site www.leda.com | |
