Just a few of my ninja from when i got it in feb '09 till now

The day i got it.





First on my list was to get rid of the gash air brake like indicators and to get a can for it. I also stripped the crappy blue paint off the wheels as they made the bike too blue. So by the end of last year it was looking like this...




Now stripping it down to repair the fairing where the previous owner dropped it, oooh yeah plastic welding






My tastey new levers also arrived






Do i or dont i polish it all?



Possibly putting a 9r engine in it in the summer funds permitting so ill be looking about 160bhp odd.

Yeah mine is loud enough already though man. They are ISR levers dude, the work on them is amazing.

how was ninja practice?

just sored the final niggly bits replacing all the botls to stainless etc. Just waiting on my rear tyre to arrive. wheelie time

changed the plugs today three chnaged fine the fourth i was a bit unlucky with and the threaded part came away from the plug bit kinda lost of how to get the bit out now, least it wasnt thr threads!

got the broke n plug out today thank god! all going back together nicely now my wheels will be going off to jay for some polishing, also re built my front calipers today which was extremely time consuming, painted all the swingarm, re-assembled my forks, fitted my jack up kit and tidied up all the hoses and cables so nothing will get snagged.

hopefully my fairings are winging there way back to me tonight from Jay. Late night session should see it all back together by tomorrow. then its on to mot and insurance.

How did you get the broken plug out mate? Have had this happen at work, mainly on ford pushrod engines where the plugs seize in. Usually hammer a large torx bit in the centre of the plug and air gun it out

Assuming the plug broke the same as mine did, where the hex part twists off and the ceramic comes out but left the threaded part in the hole.

yeah thats what happened dude, i used some reverse threaded removers basically hammerd it in slightly and put the ratchet drive on the end, thank god it came out

Ah not too much trouble then. Its a bit worrying when it first happens, thinking how the hell do i get that out now?

lol mine was more a rant of saying i knew i over tightened it and counting to ten dad didnt help by saying i told you so.

just sorted my insurance this second. Jay is coming over lunchtime to drop the bits off tomorrow. Optimistically talking ill be on it by thurdsay.
