| Well after seeing my kx looking sorry for itself and not using it getting on for nearly 4 years decided I should give it a good strip down and treat it to some new bits. Now I have been driving long enough I have the towbar on my car so hopefully I can use it more often! As it started: After some wirebrushing with the angle grinder and some skin loss later the frame was ready for paint. Wasnt really feeling the green tbh. So some hammerite and my compressor later left me with this: Well after giving the paint a weekend in front of the rad in the house and getting my nice billet parts, plastics and graphics through I had some spare time today to get on with putting it back together... Bit of a timeline of photos of todays progress. Yoke on: Forks in: Handlebars: Front Wheel: Lower Plastics: Rads on: New Rad Guards: Basic Electrics: Rad Scoops: Shiny Stuff!: End of today: Just waiting on getting my engine and rear frame back this week and my front mudguard and number plate in the post. Gives you an idea anyway. Chris. | |

| Yeah the mepal one is like mark says down block fen. Off the little round about near the outdoor centre. Its a deep sandy track, quite a few good videos on youtube showing it. Its got a website too, think its mepalmotopark or something. | |

| Well started off okay today but had a few issues later on in the day. First this was off to get all the new fixings in stainless and some fluids... ££ later: Then got on with stripping the carb and rebuilding it. One up on trainspotting: This bled the rear brake in about 30 seconds. Suspension linkage on: Shock installed: On its own wheels: Bashguard: Problem number 1, supposedly correct brake hose for the bike according to kawasaki: Obviously not. Problem number 2, couldnt get thr front brake to pressurise, guess the seals in the m/c had degraded which seems a normal issue so some new ones are on order. After it got nips outside i got on with stripping down the loom and repair/strengthen it. So alot of heatshrink and duct tape later for extra durability this is what it looks like. As it stands now: So just waiting back on my engine from joe and a couple of bits from kawasaki who are effing useless | |

| Well after getting phooked off with my clutch being so stiff I traced it down to a worn grooved clutch basket. So as an early birthday present I ended up with this: Its a Hinson billet basket. Basically the best of the best. So much better, roll on saturday | |
