My '01 Kawasaki Ninja ZX6R

This is my ninja which i bought in August 2008 and hasn't done much until dec 2009 when i passed my test.

I am hoping to be making a couple mods over time so thought i would start a thread, although progress will be slow as i have a mk1 project and an R32 to play with aswel

This is how i bought the bike

I had some trouble with my rear indicators as the lenses fell of both and they then kept falling out of the holes on the undertray, therefore i have filled the holes in the undertray and going to fit ordinary indicators.

I have also removed the rear hugger as i am going to have this resprayed green at the same time as the undertray is going to be resprayed.

I have also made a new numberplate bracket and going to change that hideous rear plate for a smaller one

yea got them in the spray shop atm dude hopefully be done tuesday nite then i gota put it back together when i get myself a new plate made and rig up the indicators etc...

Hopefully be on road for the weekend.

i wont have time for a ride this weekend with setting the golf up and dc im afraid dude.

That cool mate as im not sure if i will be out this weekend anyhow as im desperate to get some work done on the mk1 golf and my funds is low at the moment lol

sell the mk1 and buy an exhaust

Dint get that one off ebay went for £143 in the end which was more than i wanted to pay. But it am watching another now and this time its an akrapovic which is what i originally wanted, so fingers crossed i may bid on that but still got 5-6 days left.

Got bits back from the spray and can't fault the quality of the spraying, although im not sure if i like the rear hugger in green.

Still gota get a small rear plate made up and new air filter and will be ready for the road again wahey

looks fine to me bud. Maybe get some black vynil for it?

maybe get really creative with vinyl or i could do a black stripe across to blend in with rest of bike

Wahoo a new mod on the way in the shape if an oval carbon akrapovic exhaust with no baffles aswel so should be loud.

It had a baffle come with it which is not fitted, dunno if there us anymore but like the sound how it is atm and the backing and flames lol. No worries mate I was actually out on it when u rang me.

At last i finally got round to getting a plate made up.

Plate looks much better dude! get those wheels painted again though. Black would make it look mean as phook

Am gona try give wheels a bloody good clean. What sort of stuff do you reckon i should try?

Mite try some thinners or petrol on a rag and wipe straight off again so it dont burn through paint.

Use some meths or auto glym clean wheels on it... I think yours maybe past saving fella.
