Derv box on my 2.0 mk3????

i need a Gear box for my 2.0 8v mk3 Agg. i have been offered a mk3 1.9 tdi Box from a mate who said it would fit, but im just wondering what this would be like? would it make a differance prefomace wise?? not that a 2.0 8v has great prefomance anyway just wondering What it will do?

1.9tdi uses a cable change box and mk3 8v uses rod change..


Gears will be totally wrong for your petrol, they are longer to make the most of the short power band and low revving of the diesel engine.
