R2D2 aka MK4 Gt Td

^those 'exhausts' are pretty much the gayest thing ive ever seen

The window grips are common as muck for breaking on mk4 max. Probs someone replaced them for the metal types and did'nt do them up enough.

Going to like how this mk4 turns out me thinks, get cracking asap

Don't put radweld in it you will truly funk it up then and block something and suffer overheating problems! I'd check around the lower drivers side of the engine, if it's got the pink antifreeze in it stains quite well so makes tracing leaks quite easy.

i was going to take the metal bit of the door off any way so il give them a bit of a tighten whilst its off. ow and cheers

well im getting over heating any ways so how much worse can it be? plus every time ive used rad weld in the past its fixed the problem. il try and find the problem first but if i have no luck im chucking some ad weld in there

If your getting over heating it sounds like your water pump might be fooked. Or the thermostat is stuck closed

subway talk aside ive got an update!

finally got my arse up to my mates garage to fit the coilies and arb. went pretty smooth apart from trying to get the old arb out of the mounts but we just got annoyed and went to town with a plasma cutter

even though the rears are as low as they can go there still no where near where i want them but il wait until i get the 17s on there and see how they sit. annoying thing about mk4's is the subframe and front bumper sit low as hell in comparison to the sills. so even though it still looks high the subframes only about and inch and a half off the floor.

also ive started the referb of the 17s. ive almost got two done, just need to polish up the bolts. the other 2 faces are in the pipe line, just need a few spare hours.

now i just need to build the wheels up order the tyres and adaptors and then lower it more

I've got mine sat on the bottom part of the adjuster cup on the rear (just unscrewed the top half off) and up 20mm from the bottom of the front coilies and it sits just below the stock tyre height.

For uber sweet stance on your 17's you'll probably want the top half/maybe both halves of both adjusters out of the rear, and 10mm up on the front. Should give you a sweet sleight nose down stance.

Gimme a buzz when you've got the wheels built up and on. Gotta see what this beast sits like

i found this a dub freeze and had to take a pick for you, its a build you owen mk4 golf in green, you put the R-line kit on ect.. i thort it was prity cool!

will do mate, get a little mk4 meet going on . im thinking both halfs out of the rear and about 15mm down on the front, any more and it will just be a pain. although even at the height it is it keeps hitting on the road and road kill
