| here i have my mk4 golf which i have had for a while now but i brought it with some front damage (minor) and whilst fixing it i came across the engine and the crank had been broken. i then had a look on the internet and a crank for a 1.4 was going to be impossible but i found a guy on the mk4 owners club and he sold me a mk5 golf 1.4 engine which was perfect and the car is now all fixed and done. i had a clifford alarm on it but it had 2 b taken off as it kept messing up. neway here are the pictures of how it stands now: am now doing my interior and got my head lining up. here are the pictures i have so far. let me know what u think:

| yes was pretty hard i had to change everything and only keep the block but i have sold most of the other parts on ebay and the gearbox didnt fit as the gear linkage was the wrong was round but i asked every body and noone new if the mk5 wud fit in the mk4 so i just brought it and tryed it.
but like i sed u have 2 change the sensors the starter motor alternator etc but the block was fine and that was all i needed anyway.
yer it beats drivin on nothing but yer i need 2 put coilovers on it as it looks like a 4x4 but i cnt afford them at the moment :(

its also i rele nice ride so it makes it worth the while.
