I actually agree, its actually better(imo) to put a cold feed from the lower front bumper into just near the intake of the airbox.
If the trumpet is inside the airbox then bin it as its restrictive.

yeah bin the inner trumpet(unless its that nice smooth stubby one they smooth out airflow in my opinion) normally they are horrible long ones, then take the outer crap cold airfeed plastic pipe that goes to the inner wing and replace that with a nice big cold airfeed to the bumper somewhere

Who said anything about making any holes?
If you pull the trumpet, leave the box standard and just get some
piping and feed some cold air directly up to the intake hole that's already there in the air box.
Get pipe in directly in the airflow, cold dense air will make more power that's what the afm does
it reads how much air is being passed up the pipe and cold dense air makes the Ecu add more fuel
that why your car always seems to pull better on wet days.

No need to cut anything or make any holes.
If in doubt do a search on google , there must be something.

if you run a cold feed to the bumper you can get air intake grills for the very bottom of the bumper, (the side grills) basically remove the plastic grills and replace with these which are colour coded and have a hole in them for air intakes.

i apologise about the description i have givern i know its rubbish but cant write it any better lol, i'll try find a picture to show what im on about.
