| The mk2 is coming on well man, i see what u mean about moulding the bumper now.. may be a bit of hastle! No worrys bout the tailgate, was just a thought. Im after 70 for 5 tsw razors. 1 is a little dented (not in pic) so i bought a replacement 1 which is slightly scuffed (cant tell which 1 it is) . They looked good on my mk2 but i nabbed th tyres for my teledials. got all 4 tsw centres too. Keep up th good work mate. | |

| well engines in and choked into life after a couple of turns and misfires due to the ignition timing also with the exhaust on thanks to dji8785 even tho the silencer pipe was broken, cheeky f**k now going through preping for the m.o.t and hooking up the peco backbox which i dont reckon will look that good with mk2's but look at the state of my golf with the bodykit so who cares lol will upload pics when i get a chance next week with the exhasut on and the new dual light grill | |

| bit of an update again seeing as i havent sold it yet. grinded all the carbon deposits off the broken exhaust pipe ready for welding bridge welded the gap across with only one blow through which i double lapped when it cooled off. had to cut off and then re weld the mounting bracket thing so i could welkd the pipe, rushed the weld cuz i had a massive itch that was bugging me lol result being the brackets at a bit of an angle oh well. wasnt till i put the exhaust back on that i noticed that i welded the pipe upside down so brackets at the bottom which causes the backbox to do... ...This..., when iv got a chance il take the bracket off and put it on the top to correct the angle of the box. thought id take a random pic of the engine to show how messy all the wiring is will get round to sorting them out. the new grill in, might leave the red bit as it is dunno y just like it like that. had to tamper with the earth strap to make it stretch across to the carb from the coil, lost the rubber insulator for it so if anyone has got a decent earth strap let me know please cuz this one dont want to stay on lol also need the same type of diaprhagm fuel pump in the picture with the plunger if anybodys got any needs to be working tho lol now for the electrical side of things i have these connecters that i have no idea where they go i know two of em are for the spot lamps either side dont know bout the rest tho anybody got any ideas? same for these as well. started rubbing down and keying the two tsw rims without tyres ready to be sprayed thinking of doing em a lairy colour like red or yellow or even green if anyones got any paint lying about?? and thats all of it for this time tune in next week for more updates | |

| It'll be an excuse to rebuild it again if you do. I'm glad to see you're building it for you, not for the masses or approval or to be 'scene' I think your cars like marmite, either you do or you dont, personally i dont, but I do appreciate your work and commitment to it. | |

| finnally got a battery for the golf so had reason to spend the day up me lock up having a bash at it again managed to also put the peco back box on after 20 minutes of grinding and welding got the engine running right to a degree and managed to destroy the radiator in it aswell so on the hunt for a new one and other bits, also defiantly decided to respray it as managed to smash the front bumper on my vans tow bar and also cracked my new grill and now leaning towards spraying it red of some description, also bought new rear lights with smoked halfs in black with red. not the best of photos, sort better ones out tommorow when pull it out again. | |

| right so noticed the rad wasnt kicking in when engine was running so took it out , ta da took the cowling off so could have a look at the fan and noticed this little bump of metal blocking the fan from spinning so 5 seconds later with me and my hammer problem solved span fine, so with the cowling off thought id give it a quick wipe down cuz it was filthy, dunno why i took a picture bet hey ho put the rad back and and what do ya know it still dont f***ing work assuming the motor has burnt out, its a mk3 rad like everything else in the bay anyways, so il get a mk2 one later on saturday up local scrappys unless some one on ere has one. anddd new rear lights, will be tinting the top halfs darker now we have my problem the pipe on the left of this choke, what connects to it which pipe and where from thankyou please, i can barely see myself from this picture cuz the flash didnt go off but if you know automtatic choke set ups on mk2's then ul know which one it is anyway. | |
