| omg PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE dont get a dumpvalve on a diesel, anybody who knows how a diesel works will laugh their ass off at you. They use a little electronic switch on your throttle to open them as well because they dont have any natural vacuum(no throttle butterfly to cause it). They sound CRAP, lose you power and torque and will really annoy you at the lag it will cause between gear changes.
DONT DO IT. They are just as crap on petrol cars too lol.

MPG only suffers when you drive it harder, if you drive it normal MPG goes up a little tiny bit as it puts less load on the engine to make the same torque required to get it going but i should imagine it is outweighed by how much you will boot it round. Liam whatever you do your not gonna get away without doing a clutch at some point. Its really worth the money to get the clutch again cause it will last bloody ages. You can have the torque curve electronically limited and controlled to save your clutch but thats just gay. Clutch it, map it and enjoy the power trust me that will satisfy you for ages in a little fabia,

| cheers tiz the dumpvalve's a deffo no no then, i was thinking sachs clutch, aswell seem to have good reviews, if/when i do it i want it done properly and be quite quick, dont want to go silly and pile thousands into it but around 190-200bhp and 300-350lb/ft i'll be happy!! | |

| yeah get a clutch done on it, get a stage 1 map from jabba which got my mate gary 184bhp and 300+lb/ft and that thing REALLY goes. Its just as quick as his 2.9 24v cossie v6 sierra. and thats in a mk4 golf so would be even quicker in a little fabia. Anything more and you are gonna want TT brakes because the VRS brakes arent too snazzy at that power. | |

| you could ask for a cluch friendly re-map (a bit silly but they do do them) or youll need deep pockets to do the cluch and while your at it put a bigger turbo on too maybe a pd 150 ??? | |

| £800 for an uprated clutch fitted... Not really deep pockets. A standard clutch isnt much less. A clutch friendly map is gay they feel horribly to drive with nowhere near as cool as the snappy torquey as hell aggresive maps | |

| dumpvalves do not give pwr gains they stop turbine stall on high boost. recirc dump valves are best bet. but a joke on a diesel. | |
