05 BORA HIGHLINE TDI TURBO DIESEL AUTO - GEARBOX FAULT

Hi, Newbie at the end of his tether.
I am hoping there is someone out there who can help me with a problem I have with the tiptronic gearbox of my Bora.
What started as a minor blip has now turned into an extremely frustrating problem. The gearbox fails to change gear from cold start. It stays in first gear for approximately fifteen minutes of driving unless I have left it idling for a minimum of twenty minutes before driving off and, until it is fully warmed up it will continue to slip back into first gear if it goes up a slight incline or if I brake. It seems to prefer to go downhill at this stage and changes gear a little quicker.
I have lived with this problem for a few months now but whereas the car would be okay for the rest of the day once it had had a run in the morning, it now gives me this problem every time I stop and switch off even for a few minutes. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

has the oil been check or change of late??

I would get it plugged into vag com, something like that would have been logged in the history. There are a few members on here that have it, and im sure wouldnt mind plugging it in for a small charge.

The gearbox oil was changed a few months ago when the problem first appeared but it didn't make any difference. I would like it to be changed again but I don't have access to a ramp and I wouldn't like to attempt it outside on axle stands in this weather .

Perhaps you can recommend someone who has a VAGCOM to plug it into, it may give me some answers. I would be much obliged and I could replace he oil again.

I think i know what you problem is here........You have a mk4, lupton will confirm this
