Alpine White Mk2 Abf

Hey everyone. Thought it was about time I put some pictures up of my car etc and start a thread about the work I'm going to do to it. I've put it in projects because even though it is a daily driver, my work is only a mile away so I only ever drive it when I want to lol.

It's a 1990 8v GTi. Brought for £750 from a mechanic freind of mine who's also into his VW's, so I know it's been looked after, it was fitted with a new cambelt and clutch before sale. It's got a little bit of rust on the drivers wing, drivers door and boot, but as part of the deal its getting a new wing, boot, rear bumper and the back panel inbetween the boot and bumper all sprayed up in white and fitted. Also going to sort the door out. Apart from the bits of rust it's a very clean car, its lowered on shocks and springs all round (but the back still needs to go down a little insy bit), and yes don't worry i hate the venoms lol.















Hopefully going to sand the boot down today, got the paint so hopefully fingers crossed it'll be on by saterday, as well as the drivers wing. Also when that goes It's having a G60 bodykit put on.

Just thought I'd sneak in a pic of me and my mates stupidly low 306 aswell lol, I think theres somthing in the water round here all of our cars have to be on the floor

Ya golf looks good to me mate and with the addition of the resprayed panels, it should look really tidy.
Satin black those venoms for time being though

Haha yea i've thought about spraying them but that would mean taking them off and actully spending time spraying them, plus actully touching them lol, I hate venoms with a passion. Although I did have a thought that if there was a way to make them flat, and say polished them they might look a bit better, but they'd still be venoms and that aint good lol.

Finally got my hands on some 160 16v single pin clocks, £20 bargain woop

My wheels now resprayed.

I've got a brand new set of toyo proxes sat in the garage ben

My mates dad sprayd them dan. I'm well happy with em, there exactly what i wanted considering the colour was a stab in the dark lol. Some sort of pugeot compition colour or somthing lol?

Cheers mate i've got the tin round ma mates i'll let ya know the colour when i next go round. Yea he used to be a body repair/panel beater/sprayer blokey so knows his sh1te. He's sraying up a door a a few lil bits on my car proberly in a few weeks, should be fairly clean then.

Still not finished yet, still a few bits and pieces left to do like sort the exhaust out because its always blowing (need welding up in the middle and a mount of some sort putting in) and the backbox hanger needs sorting out. If anyone wants to quote me a (cheap) price to do this let me know. Also need to get a couple of bits sprayed but she's getting there!!
