| Yeah iv heard that someone does fibreglass ones I will probs look into them a bit later into the built, nah I didn't get fidgity one day lol it always been part of the plan really, iv replaced the old cross peices in the bed and gain a bit of weight but it's all good, I might rethink the bed cover as that weights a fair bit and I dunno if I'm feeling it might try and make it flush. | |

| Ah i gotya that top section is just laying on the buck sides i thought it was welded onto the lower strenghthening section ! yeah personally i'd lose it must be a hell of a weight added by that i know it's like only 1 inch box or sumin but still must be heavy shame though as it does look like you've put in a good bit of time and effort making it, but i think if you clean up the buck and paint the support bars the same colour or a different colour? to the rest of the truck so there on display might look good. | |

| Ah sweet that'll be the bollox mate just make sure when its done you remember to film the start up/test drive etc and plonk it on utube wont ya. I'm getting quite to see it finished now still along way to go though . if i were you i'd weld in a few bars in the engine bay too just to give the front as strong as the back . Without spoiling too much of the surprise lol what gearbox and rear axle, prop etc are you gonna use? you know it's weird your doing this my mate was gonna buy blue one you bought and the other white one off wilba make a good one out the 2 and then drop a v8 in the back running to the rear wheels. I mean alot of people talk about doing that sort of thing but never do but if he had'nt of changed his mind about buying then he definitely would have lol. he's made some awsome cars in the past. | |

| little update to keep the thread alive, its been awhile, right drivers side bodywork is almost finished, quick mock up mk3 subframe welded in, not completely finished yet i need to strengthen up the mounts, had to cut out a fair bit of the bulkhead to get it where i wanted it she's got some poke, this is my spare borbet t, also bought this bad boy donor car lol this was it about an hour of getting it back engine out engine in sits alot higher than normal as the subframe is higher but needs to be for maximum lows all the inlet is going so shud just tuck under the bonnet nicely opinions welcome, some of the pics are a few weeks old and those of you iv got on facy b will have seen em already but heres for the rest of ya | |
