Going to be welding some plate to the sump to deflect away from the sump plug so it wont wear through so easily with 5mm plate on it. think its goin to be making contact alot though, so will be ordering a new sump to chop up and R32 shallow pickup pipe

Seeing yours is really firing me on to get my arse into gear and get my mk3 20v'd and the vr slung in.

If I can give you any advice don't do the front ones on the lower arms as you'll end up replacing them again in a short while after plus it will give you a little compliance.

While the arms are off I'd seam/stitch weld them while you have the chance.

yeah remember you saying about that when i popped round, i asked at vw when i was in how much a new pair of wishbones was just for the sake of it and they 50odd each so think will just do it to the 1s already on the car like you say
