| 'reet lads! I need to change my gearbox cos it's fooked. found a few potential replacements but whats the mothod for removal? do I need to support the engine with anything before I unbolt the 'box? | |

| Mk3 gti box will fit, you'll just need the clutch plate aswell gary | |

| you can fit the mk3 8v box straight on i think, think the mk3 uses the larger input (same as the 16v) would be worth double checking its been a while! if it doesnt go, just get the mk3 8v clutch plate and will def fit then! | |

| i dont know why i asked that cuz i knew it already. cheers though lee ive ben thinking tjey might b the best option if a new box is needed for my 8v's in the future cuz a mk3 might not of seen so many hard miles....though i say MIGHT | |
