im finkin i wanna put webbers on my mk2 how much difference do they actually make? i knw my m8 had them on a 2.0l nova engine and it pulled like a train n sounded sweeeeeet, any1 knw?

makes a big difference, but they will need setting up quite often, which isnt easy if you dont know how.

they make an awesome noise though Smile

yer i knw they need setting up often got plenty of people tht can do tht, but wat kinda difference do they make to the 1.8 engine?

not gonna make much difference on a standard 1.8 engine, to make use of them you really need some serious headwork and cam, not really worth it their own.

if u wanted to do it cheap sell the 1.8 and buy a abf 2ltr 16v lump and stick webber 45s on it that way u wont have to mod the rain tray to get the best get the head polished and put cams in it
i had a 1.9 16v with webber 45s made 198bhp on the rollers and the sound was awsome if u wana spend money setting them up every 6 mounths then go for it ive sold mine now to fund me new engine
u cant beat a sound of a pair of 45s
