Hear is a few picks of my mk2 16v project, at least i hope as i havent got use to this image posting thing yet.
shes an f reg mk2 16v with a 2.0 bottom end, done 113k.
at the moment is a non runner as the starter has garn, however i replaced it but it still nouat happens scratch
my plans are to weld up the battery tray, sort a couple of scabs on the bottom of the doors, and gernley clean and tidy it up.
im in need of a idle control unit and a cold start unit.

Looks nice to me, what do you mean nothing happens? does it not even turn over or make a noise? are the dash lights on? is the battery charged?

i started to give my mk2 a clean up at the weekend, i even managed to rope the old man into helping, i also fitted a new coil and got my Nana Laughing on the repairs to the drivers seat.
hopfuly druing the week i will be able to get it in to the garage so i can start stripping the front. going for two new wings, a second hand bonnet (yet to find) and a second hand slam panle as the old one is cracked.
also need to weld the battry tray, well not me cos if i do it it will look like bird shite!!

has been a good morning for the 16v, after some help from the club gti fourm have mannged to get it running. found the problem! it was the overrun run cut off valve had come dissconected from the air box. i reconected it and replaced all the vacume pipes as some were split, only have one more to replace, put a can of petrol in it and it fired up first time, it runs fine and idles fine as well.

I'am interested in the complete running gear, if not available then i'd just want the engine loom/ecu but i'd have to remove as its delicate.
