threaded bar coming out from between fuel pipes on back of pump.
should have a metal security seal on it which you need to remove, then loosen the lock nut and screw IN to richen mixture.
doing this will also increase the idle speed so you then need to wind back the throttle stop screw to bring idle back down.
i always do this on 200/300 tdi land rovers which also use Bosch ve pumps
a basic setting for you
its basically just trial and error
screw it in till revs rise to 1500/2000 (and count turns so you can reset it if needed)
then bring idle back down with idle stop screw (till its back on 850/900 or whatever yours ran at before)
then take it for a spin.
ideally you want it to just make a bit of smoke when on full boost, it's fine to be really smokey when you first floor it until the turbo has spooled up. the smoke is just unburnt fuel as there's not enough air until the turbo is boosting.
just reread your post and yeah it's basically the same pump as the pug. I can't be arsed to deleate all I've just written.
and just realized you wrote that in February
