Aaz fuel pump leaking Empty
PostSubject: Aaz fuel pump leaking   Aaz fuel pump leaking EmptyFri Oct 21 2011, 02:47

Anybody got experience of these? Its been leaking for a little while now and it's about time i got it sorted.

When i bought the car i did loads of research into running it on vegetable all and i couldn't find any negatives so have been running it on roughly a 50/50 derv/veg mix. Do you think this may have caused the seals to break down? I have found "heavy duty veg oil seal kits" for sale in the states but not in the uk, however Tiz put me on to a company in Preston (diesel bob) that supply regular seal kits and veg kits, but will only fit the veg kits themselves and not post them out which makes me wonder if they are actually different or they are just renaming the standard kit and charging more for it.

So what im asking is, has the veg buggered my pump? Can anyone on here rebuild it for me if i get a kit? Does anyone know of a local company that can fix it for me?

the veg hasnt ruined the pump dude its just the mix eats natural rubber. Id say your seals were on death door anyway and the veg mix has finished them off.

Where is it leaking from? if you buy a seal kit i'll fit it for you cheap dude

It seems to be leaking from the main seal that join the 2 halves of the pump together, if you know what i mean. Can you pm me a price for doing it please?
