is it possible to change the driver side engine mount on a mk1 golf while the engine is in the car

Yes but you'll still need to remove front and rear mounts so you can drop the engine down. Possibly need to have the exhaust disconnected too

im not very good at translating but just found this and it just shows the front mounts being undone
